Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2024 Jeep Wrangler, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Air Lift air helper springs for the rear axle. But before we do that, let's take a minute, we'll check these out and make sure they're gonna be right for you. Chances are pretty good if you're watching this right now, you have realized either with, you know, a Jeep you just got, or in the past, that sometimes when you're towing or hauling heavy stuff wrong, you could use a little bit of extra help, at least the suspension can, here at the back. And that's because these Jeeps have good suspensions, you know, that have a lot of travel and everything for off-roading and stuff like that, but they're not really super stout, if you will, and handle a lot of weight. And that's where a suspension enhancement like this airbag can really come into play there. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Installation - 2023 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about our Timbren's rear suspension enhancement system on the 2023 Jeep Gladiator. So we took off our tires so we can give you a better look at this. Now this is what it's gonna look like when it's installed. This is gonna go into this jounce cup at the top. And taking a look at this jounce cup, this is more of a last ditch effort to protect your axle because we're gonna have this coil spring back here, but if you hit any really big bumps or anything like that, this is just gonna stop your axle from making contact at the top. Now this isn't that great. more

Timbren Front or Rear Suspension Enhancement Installation - 2023 Jeep Gladiator- Video

They're gonna sit just within our coil spring. And on the rear, they're gonna sit right off side of it, just on the side. And they're gonna help prevent a lot of body roll and overall just give you better handling. more

Timbren Front Suspension Active Off-Road Bumpstops Installation - 2023 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hi Matt with etrailer. Today when we're talking about our Timbren Active Off-Road Bump Stops for our front or rear axle on our 2023 Jeep Gladiator. Now these Timbrens specifically are gonna give you a lot more support as opposed to what comes stock with your Jeep, this jounce bumper right here. This is not a lot larger than it, but it's gonna give you a lot more support overall with this very durable rubber as opposed to this foam. So for how it's gonna install, it's gonna sit right in this coil spring. As you can see right now we had this taller Timbren in right now, but the installation for both of them is gonna be identical but just with a few exceptions. more

Now this is gonna be a great suspension enhancement as opposed to what comes standard on your Jeep. Now, before we get to checking out the airbags, we wanna do some testing and see what the vehicle performs before and after the installation. We've got just the stock suspension right now, no airbags installed and we've got no weight in the hitch. So, for that, we're just checking our stock ride height to see where we're sitting. So, why might you wanna consider air helper springs here on your Jeep Well, they actually have a few different uses, primarily for towing. So although Jeeps can tow a trailer, their suspension isn't necessarily built for that. Therefore, when you do hook up your trailer, chances are you're gonna see some rear end sag or squat. Now, that sag and squat can have quite dramatic effects when we're out driving on the road. So we're obviously gonna be wearing down our suspension faster, but one of the number one things that people don't necessarily realize. more

Firestone Coil-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2020 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Jeep Gladiator, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs. Before we put our air bags on, what I'd like to do is take a few measurements that way we can have some baseline numbers, that way we can compare those numbers once we have our airbags installed. So what we're going to measure is our factory ride height with our factory suspension and no weight in the bed of our Jeep. So here at the front, if you go from the ground to the edge of our wheel well, it's going to be right at 36 inches and here at the back take that same measurement, it's going to be right at 38 inches. So I went ahead and put a pretty good amount of weight in the bed of our Jeep.If I had to guess, I'd say probably about 500 pounds. more

So to simulate some of the benefits we're going to get of these Active Off-Road Bump Stops, we're going to go ahead and take our Jeep here through our test course with our factory jounce springs. The test course we're going to be using is our speed bump course, which is going to simulate off-roading. We're going to go ahead, go through that now, pick up some speed. We can definitely feel the jolt in the axle as soon as the jounce spring engages.So now with our Timbren Active Off-Road Bump Stops installed, we're going to go back over this same test course that we did earlier to show you the difference. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Installation - 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Today, on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're gonna be installing Timbren's rear suspension enhancement system. For comparison, here's our factor jounce bumper, and here's our replacement Timbren suspension enhancement.It's obvious to see here that the Timbren is much larger, so what this means is that it's going to engage sooner, so you're gonna be getting that suspension enhancement much more than you're gonna get it from this one. Additionally, the additional length is going to provide proportional enhancement depending on how much loads on it. The more it compresses, the more support it's gonna provide.This suspension enhancement system is gonna provide additional support when your vehicle's loaded down. When it's unloaded like it is now, it doesn't make any contact with our axle, so it's gonna ride just as it if was factory. When you've loaded it down, the spring will compress, getting stiffer the more it becomes compressed. more

SuperSprings Coil SumoSprings Helper Springs Installation - 2013 Jeep Patriot- Video
Hey, guys, today I'm going to show you how to install the coil Sumo Springs from Super Springs, Part No. CSS-1125. I have my 2013 Jeep Patriot here, and I have the spring. I did have to make a small cut to chop off the spring. This is the piece that I cut off, about 3, 3-1/2 inches. The manufacturer says that they don't want any overlap more than an inch, so they'd prefer about 1/2 inch to an inch of overlap, basically just meaning that the springs don't overlap more than like this. There is a top and bottom to this spring. more

Air Lift Air Helper Springs Installation - 2004 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Today on our 2004 Jeep Wrangler, we'll be installing the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs, part number AL60811. These air springs are designed to fit inside the rear coil springs of the Jeep. Our first step will be removing some of the manufacturer's components such as the lower shock bolt and the sway bar link bolt so that we can extend the body away from the rear axle to remove the spring. Now to begin our install, I'm going to use some spray lubricant on the manufacturer's hardware to make it easier to get it off and then put it back on later. We'll spray the lower shock bolt and the sway bar link on both sides. There's one more fastener here on the driver's side that we might have to remove when separating the body from the axle and that will be the brake line bracket bolt. I'm going to go ahead and spray it down now to allow our spray lubricant to start working. Once we have our lower shock bolts out, we can go ahead and release the shock from the shock mount. more

SuperSprings Coil SumoSprings Installation - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee we will be installing the Coil Sumo Spring, part number CSS-1145. This will be set up on our rear axle of our vehicle. First, weve already gone ahead, jacked up the vehicle to allow the weight off of the rear suspension and removed the right rear tire. Now were ready to go ahead and begin installation. Our first step on installation would be to clean the coil spring. Using some soapy water and a clean cloth, we will go ahead and clean the coils of the spring where we will be installing our coil sumo springs. more
